Ghanaians warn about the abuse of Agro-chemical chemicals.

Speaking to the district training part of the Bono District, Madam Louisa Asantewa, a police officer in Berekum West District, extended all vegetable farmers to find chemical products in their plants. He has revealed that lack of consultation with trained police has resulted in dangerous levels of chemical abuse.
“Research has shown that some of these chemicals, when working in an improper, toxic vegetables such as tomatoes, garden eggs and cabbage,” said Madam Asantewaa. He added that the results are amazed, linking the abuse of Agro – chemicals and mental health problems for children, fertility among young women, and the rising conditions of kidney related diseases.
One-day training was scheduled in Chiraa in the Chiranese Municipality, where more than 55 vegetarian farmers from Bredwezi Farmers Association participated. The program is based on the Defer Farmers Association of Ghana (PFAG) in partnership with the Kosmos Innovation Center and MasterCard Foundation.
Madam Asantewa highlighted a major challenge facing rural farmers: writing information. Many of them, said, they cannot read the instructions listed in Agro-Chemical. As a result, they use these products without understanding the capacity or time, which leads to food pollution. “This bad habit does not endanger the health of the public but also harms the reputation of our farm products in the market,” warns.
He has urged farmers to stop using chemicals unless the AAS, who are trained to lead them in the relevant products and application methods. He emphasized: “Saving lives must come first,” he emphasized.
Talking to the event, Mr. Benjamin Sarfo, PFA program officer, said the organization is committed to supporting small farmers across the country. He has revealed that farmers are facing many challenges including poor market access, climate change, and lack of farming, and that education about the safe farming is more important than ever.
Mr Sarfo encouraged farmers to build local authorities to strengthen their words and improve their access to financial support, agricultural tools, and markets. “When farmers gather together in the kubars, they are powerful. They can discuss better prices, to get in common,” explained.

The Food and Agriculture Department says that it will work with farmers’ organizations, NGOs, and development partners to create strong expansion services that can reach even the remote agricultural communities.
